Many APIs use OAuth to manage protected data. The OAuth protocol allows users to share specific data while keeping other information (e.g., usernames, passwords) private.
Choreos supporting APIs that use OAuth authentication require OAuth-specific authorization (e.g., tokens, secret) to run.
How OAuth wizards help
Obtaining OAuth credentials can be technically difficult and time-consuming.
A part of the Credential tool, OAuth wizards help you connect and rapidly access APIs via OAuth without writing a line of code.
They offer step-by-step guidance to obtain OAuth values and access, then input those OAuth values into the Credential. These account credentials can be stored as commonly used inputs, and utilized whenever a Choreo is run.
Select the Choreo you'd like to run. If that particular Choreo requires authentication inputs to run, you'll see a link to add or manage Credentials in the right column. Visit the Credentials support page for more detailed instructions on creating credentials.
Choreos that require OAuth authentication to run and have OAuth wizard functionality will have the OAuth wizard icon in the Choreo setup instructions.
Follow the setup and step-by-step wizard instructions provided for that particular Choreo.
